A rectangle bed has four straight sides and no cut-away corners. It may run lengthways or across the width of your caravan or motorhome, where it is often described as a transverse bed.
The shape may be simple, but the width, length and mattress depth can still differ considerably between models.

Rectangle does not mean one universal size. Caravan and motorhome mattresses can be shorter, narrower or deeper than domestic mattresses.

Rectangle & Transverse Bedding FAQs
What is the difference between a rectangle and transverse bed?
Both are straight-sided mattresses. A transverse bed simply runs across the width of the caravan or motorhome rather than lengthways.
Do I need to measure my rectangle bed?
Usually, no. For most customers we can identify the correct dimensions using the caravan or motorhome make, model and year. If your mattress has been replaced or altered, we may ask for measurements.
Why can I not just buy a domestic fitted sheet?
Caravan and motorhome mattresses are often shorter, narrower or shallower than domestic mattresses. A standard sheet may look close on paper but still fit badly in practice.
What mattress depth do you allow for?
Our standard fitted sheets are made to suit mattresses up to 15cm deep. If you are buying a topper from us, we allow for the extra depth. Tell us if your mattress is unusually deep or already has a separate topper.
What comes in a Rectangle Bedding Pack?
A pack contains one fitted sheet, one 10.5 tog duvet, one duvet cover and two pillowcases. It does not include pillows, a mattress topper or a mattress protector unless clearly selected as an additional option.
Can the duvet have the Tuck Me Under design?
Yes. Selected rectangle duvet sets and bedding packs are available with our unique Tuck Me Under design to help keep the bed neater during the day.
Can I buy individual pieces instead of a pack?
Yes. You can order fitted sheets, protectors, toppers and duvet sets individually, or choose a coordinated bedding pack.
Can I choose my fabric and colour?
Yes. Our ranges include easy-care polycotton, brushed cotton, Bamboo 300TC, Egyptian cotton and Hotel Suite stripe fabrics. Availability varies by product.
